About Me

Moamen is a Junior Researcher and doctoral student (Ph.D. candidate) at LUT University, Finland, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction, affective computing, and context-aware recommender systems. His research focuses on multimodal user modeling using wearables, including EEG and vision-based data, to enhance personalized and emotion-aware recommendations.

He holds an M.Sc. in Software Engineering from FCAI, Helwan University, Egypt, and has published in both journals and conferences. Moamen also has over four years of academic experience and three years in the software industry, and has co-supervised multiple student projects that led to conference publications.

My research focuses on leveraging Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) techniques in medical healthcare to improve patient outcomes and enhance clinical processes. I have extensive experience in machine learning, deep learning, transfer learning, and attention models, which I apply to develop innovative solutions in the healthcare domain. My expertise also includes fusion techniques, time-series data analysis, signal processing, and computer vision, allowing me to tackle complex challenges in real-time human activity recognition and physical rehabilitation. By integrating advanced computational methods with HCI principles, I aim to create user-centered applications that support medical professionals and patients alike.
